About

3Ma monthly lunch for adults on third Mondays

We begin with a program at 10:00 a.m. and lunch at 11:00 a.m. RSVP for this memorable time so we may prepare accurately for lunch ($5).

Upcoming Schedule:

September 15—One of the most insightful minds regarding the Nashville (or national) religious scene is Ray Waddle. We are privileged to have him speak on Monday, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. on how the local landscape has changed during his life here. Ray Waddle is an award-winning journalist who was religion editor at The Tennessean in Nashville, TN, for 17 years before moving to Yale University as editor of Reflections, Yale Divinity School’s journal of theological inquiry. Waddle, who is a published author and was an adjunct member of the faculty at Vanderbilt Divinity School from 2002 – 2006, returned to Nashville last year. His two books are Against the Grain: Unconventional Wisdom from Ecclesiastes and A Turbulent Peace: The Psalms for Our Time. Actually, he has just published a third one, which he will share about with us. Waddle earned a B.A. in journalism in 1978 from the University of Oklahoma and an M.A. in religious studies from Vanderbilt University in 1981.

His observations will definitely be worth hearing! Lunch will follow at 11:00 a.m., so call 615.664.6015 and RSVP if you plan on eating with us.

October 20—Sports Anchor, Rudy Kalis, will be with us. He is an outspoken believer and will be inspirational and entertaining.

November 17—I am excited for you to meet Tom Turner. He directs the Downtown Partnership and knows Nashville like no one else—especially our immediate community. He is in touch with retail, housing, tourism, commercial growth—everything you want to know about downtown, he can address.

December 15Carol Austin will be with us. The Austin family has served many of us for decades in the funeral home business. She will share very helpful information.
