Missions in the Morning

2nd & 4th Mondays | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Missions in the Morning has begun it's spring 2014 semester for women of all ages each second and fourth Monday of the month. This semester includes missions, prayer moments, new friendships, healthy munchies, and the Bible Study Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeust led by Shannon Meadors. Childcare is available with an advanced RSVP.

Rebekah Naylor Missions Group

The women of the Rebekah Naylor Missions Group seek to be informed about missions, to pray for missionaries, to give to mission endeavors and to find ways to serve in our community in the name of Jesus. Meetings are held at 1:30 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in various homes.

Missions Alive

Held from 10 a.m. until Noon on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in various homes, Missions Alive seeks to “be” and to “do” missions where we are while praying for missions around the world.

Jane Anne Gibbs Mission Group

The Jane Anne Gibbs Mission Group focuses on local opportunities for missions and holding the ropes for those called out to serve as we educate ourselves and others about obeying the Great Commission. Meetings are in the morning of the 2nd Thursday of each month in various homes.

Mary/Martha Mission Group

The Mary/Martha Mission Group functions to serve Him, follow Him, and always tell others the story of Jesus, every day in every way. Meetings are in the evening of the last Thursday of each month in various homes.

Service Projects

The Next Door

The Next Door provides hope and healing to women in Crisis. First Baptist Nashville partners with this wonderful organization for various volunteer opportunities that range from construction projects to simply providing a warm smile. The Next Door is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Women on Mission: Mobile Meals

For nearly 40 years, First Baptist Nashville members have delivered Mobile Meals five days a week to shut-ins in the greater Green Hills area. There are five delivery routes. In many cases, the Mobile Meals volunteer driver is the only person some of our receipients see each day. Many of our drivers deliver meals once a month.

Room In The Inn Laundry

Different individuals are scheduled to pick up laundry on Sunday evenings (November – March) for Room In The Inn. They then return the clean clothes on Monday to help this wonderful organization continue another week of ministry.

Creative Missions

KnitWits

KnitWits is a missions group of First Baptist Nashville that knits items for anyone who needs an upholding (uplifting) of spirit lovingly given.  KnitWits meets at 5:45 p.m. every Wednesday in Room 150G, although attending meetings is not necessary to be a part of the KnitWits.

Creative Hands

The ladies of Creative Hands thank God for the gifts and skills He has given them by using those gifts to make salvation dolls and other things which are shared with those who do His work. The Creative Hands women meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 1st Thursday of each month in Room 460.
