Crow’s Corner (August 2014)

We are leading people to discover Christ through First Baptist Nashville ministries; our First Baptist Nashville campus tells a story and helps people discover the church and ultimately discover Christ!
The Chapel renovations and Fourth Floor restroom improvements will soon be complete and open for use.

These projects are part of the important story our church campus tells. Seekers, persons who have not yet received Christ as personal Savior, may first experience First through a worship service or more likely when parking at our campus for a special event downtown. They may first enter our facilities to attend a community event we host (i.e., the Tuba Christmas concert; restroom use at July 4th Outreach, etc.) and we have only one opportunity to represent Christ through how our facilities speak—are they clean; are they modern; are they well-cared for?

Our facilities communicate who we are, what we believe, our care for people. This is why we give our best to provide great facilities for you and our guests. Thank you for representing Christ well at church with friendliness and attention to our building.

Continued Education

Thank you for allowing our staff to participate in continuing education experiences. I spent five days attending the National Church Administration conference and learned so much in the field of church administration including legal, tax, and healthcare updates; communications suggestions; faith in the inventive age; focusing on important matters; why church facilities matter; leading through thick and thin without burning out, and meeting with many of our 100 church vendors. This is an important provision you make for each of our pastoral team members.

Student Minister Update

Pastor Frank and I have received, spoken with, and interviewed a number of student ministers near and far. The Student Interview Team will receive our findings soon, and we continue to hope in the Lord’s leadership and provision of our new student minister in the coming weeks, this fall. Please be prayerful for
this important search.
