Frank and the Point (April 2014)

Worship at First Baptist Nashville

Join us every Sunday this April as we celebrate our Life in Christ in one of our three morning worship services!

  • The Service of Word and Table (with Communion)
    8:15 a.m.  |  Fellowship Hall
  • The Sanctuary Service (with Choir and Orchestra)
    10:30 a.m.  |  Sanctuary
  • The Fellowship on Broadway (with our House Band)
    10:30 a.m  |  Third Floor, East Building

We anticipate one of the largest crowds of the year on Easter Sunday, and I hope you will be with us. This is the year that you need to invite a friend, a co-worker, a neighbor or someone to be your guest. You’ll find an atmosphere of celebration and a word of encouragement to strengthen your walk with Christ in each of these worship times. I look forward to seeing you in April!

First Baptist Nashville Campus Developments

Our church approved a recommendation from our Property and Finance Committees to continue some needed facility improvements that will provide for clean and safe spaces as we gather for fellowship, study, and worship. The Chapel renovations began the last week of March and will take about two months to complete. Our new Parking Lot is closer to completion and new improvements to restrooms, classrooms, and gathering spaces are on the drawing boards. Thank you, church, for taking good care of your campus!

First Baptist Nashville Young Adult Ministry and Student Ministry Updates

I’m pleased to have Brandon Owen accepting the challenge to lead our Young Adult Ministry. Brandon has done an excellent job giving spiritual leadership to our students for the past two years and the decision to make this transition was not an easy one on anyone’s part. Brandon will continue to give leadership over the summer to some of the key Student Ministry events as we move interim leadership into place for a careful and prayerful transition. The search process will involve listening sessions, and the election of a screening interview committee composed of students, parents, personnel committee members, and staff. You can help us best by praying for the transition, loving on our students, and being here to be a part of this church body.

National Day of Prayer

Thursday, May 1, will mark the National Day of Prayer and our church’s Third Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast. Steve Green will be our musical guest and Tommy Neiman will be our guest speaker. Tommy is a Decorated Firefighter and First Responder. His testimony will move you and inspire you. Tickets are on sale now for this event which will be held at the Music City Center. Plan to join us as we lift our local and national leaders, our nation, and our world to the Lord in prayer. Look on the back of the Evangel for info.
